10min Focus-Binaural brain wave entrainment

Certain frequencies are associated with certain states of mind, For example, the alpha frequency of 8Hz to 12Hz is present when individual is in the ‘zone’ so to speak..This frequency however is only usually obtained through meditation… We can however replicate such frequencies in an attempt to adopt that frame of mind, thanks to a German experimenter HW Dove, he discovered in 1839, that by playing 2 coherent sounds of similar frequencies into each ear could be made to produce a third “binaural beat” at the desired frequency. For example; by placing a tone of 400Hz to the right ear and a tone of 410Hz to the left, inside the head the difference between th tones is realized producing a third beat of 10Hz… This is a powerful tool both to experienced meditator or for someone just beginning, it serves to set one’s mind and train it to get used to the desired brainwave and you can discard it after and just meditate per normal. Brain Wave Frequencies – Brainwave Frequencies Associated with Human States of Mind

Brain wave frequencies coincide the human state of mind.  According to classic neurophysiology, there are four main brain wave frequencies are beta, alpha, theta, and delta.   There are other brainwave frequencies like gamma brain waves, hyper-gamma, lambda and epsilon waves, but the four main frequencies that relate to meditation and classic neurophysiology are beta wave, alpha waves, theta wave, and delta brain waves.

Beta brain waves are typically in the 13 to 30 Hz frequency range.  They are the more frequent type of wave as they relate to you being awake and alert.  This is the frequency when you are walking, talking, driving your car, your normal daily activities.  During this frequency of brain waves is where you are most alert, and have the greatest concentration and cognition.

What is Brainwave Entrainment, Brain Wave Stimulation & Binaural Beats?

When a person practices deep meditation & relaxation, he or she is entering the Alpha brainwave state. Alpha is only one of the five main brainwaves we currently recognize. Our brainwaves dominate our moods and activity; Scientific research discovered that the frequency of the electrical pulses in the brain determine which brain wave state we are presently working in.

Certain sound and light pulses have been created that can actually stimulate the frequency of our brainwaves, changing them and therefore our state of mind. This is the nature of brainwave Entrainment and Binaural Beats. The most commonly categorized frequencies are; Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and Gamma.

Binaural Beats – Brain Wave Entrainment

You must have heard of binaural beat frequencies. Neurophysiologists have used this for cognitive and neurological research. Ordinary people can also benefit from this discovery by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove way back 1839 as you’ll see in a little while.

A little about sound waves.

A sound wave is produced when an object moves back and forth for more than 20 times per second (the lower threshold of human hearing). Imagine when you fan yourself in a hot summer day, the number of times the fan completes a cycle – from the starting point all the way in one direction then going back in the reverse direction and back to the starting point – in one second is called the frequency or cycles per second. We cannot hear sound waves from the fan because we cannot attain the lowest frequency that our ears can hear.

Meditation and Brain Wave States

Most people know that there are different brain wave states that the brain can be in at different times. The beta state is what we are normally in when we are completely awake and focused, while the alpha state is reached through daydreaming and meditation, theta is the dream state and delta is reached in very deep sleep.

It is possible to alter your brain waves and enter the alpha state whenever you want, which is what people do when they meditate. Consciously synchronizing the brain wave patterns of both hemispheres of the brain can provide you with all sorts of benefits, such as:

Have you heard of brain wave sound frequencies to modify EEG and induce meditation?

There are many brainwave sound generator software available to download from internet. Some of them or free and recorded to create a specific result. I never used anyone of them before.  I always prefered to meditate to alter my level of consciousness and feel all the benefits in my daily life.

Thousands of studies show the benefits of meditation in the long term. It takes some time to reach the level of focus needed to have real effects. The more often and the longer you practice meditation, the better you will be.  It may take a lifetime to reach the master’s level.

BrainSync – Theta Wave w/ Fractals

Fractals by Jock Cooper Stimulating the brain The easiest way of applying stimulus to the brain is via ears and eyes. Since humans cannot hear sounds low enough to be useful for brain stimulation, special techniques must be used. One such special technique used is called binaural beats. This video has only 1/3 of the total wave original sound, due to 10min time limit of youtube videos. Playlist BrainSync: www.youtube.com.
